Makos buffs anybody who isn't adjacent to him and Tyril provides a buff that weakens based on the number of characters adjacent to him, so either of them are best placed off to the side away from the core of the group. Makos and Tyril are backup options for buffers. He doesn't really do much for team damage directly. Jarlaxle is primarily just good for a bit of extra gold find to make it easier to get levels on your other characters.

Delina usually doesn't get much consideration because everyone subscribes to the newsletter to get a code to unlock Hitch (who swaps into her place in the bench). Minsc can provide a team buff against a specific type of enemy (you choose - try to pick the one that's the type of enemy at the highest area you can reach so it helps you push past it) and Hitch provides a buff that works on specific characters (a specific stat has to be high enough - it affects himself and Jamilah but not Minsc). Yeah, as was mentioned, a solid core for a formation is often Calliope (buffs column ahead), Bruenor (buffs same column), Celeste (buffs adjacent), and Nayeli (buffs column behind) sandwiched around one main damage dealer.ĭepending on gear and levels that choice for main damage dealer might typically end up as Minsc, Hitch, or Jamilah.
