There is no reason for you to keep people waiting like this. Large amount of my money out of your bank in the past two months because of this. Last time I tried to use the teller machine it broke down in front of me. Today I tries to use the teller machine and it would not identify my checks and they were Merrill Lynch checks No Vistar checks.
I have spent more than 30 minutes in line to just make a deposite. I find your bank is always very crowded and you seldom have more than one teller working. I use to use Fort Caroline Branch but it was closed. I could truly spend at least an hour detailing all of the frustrating experiences we have had with Banks Construction, but I’ll stop here.I have been using your bank for about two years. What small amount of work has been partially completed now needs to be corrected and redone. We are upside down with Banks Construction financially. I know that all of the excuses are lies because they don’t coordinate with one another very well and most contradict the other’s lies. There are always several excuses, when we are lucky enough to actually contact someone who answers our calls, texts, or emails.

We now have dipping floors and a cracked ceiling after that ordeal. The beam looked like something children had pieced together and resulted in our top floor nearly coming down. A support wall that was removed was secured with a beam that was nowhere close to our engineered plans’ specifications. Numerous dates for completion were provided in writing, but none were achieved. Most of that is drywall that will be used inside our home. Debris has remained out on the porch, being rained on and collecting dirt. Our home has remained in a perpetual state of dust and mess. When anyone would occasionally show up it was usually unannounced and they would work a few hours, then be gone…most often for several weeks. I missed nine days of work on different dates I was told workers would arrive, but no one ever did and no one let me know there would be no one coming. We have been working with Matthew Banks for more than a year now. Don’t ever give this contractor 50% deposit and don’t believe him when he tells you 3 months to complete your project. Still many outstanding items that Banks is now refusing to do because I posted this Google review. Not much changed even with Banks managing things. Again and again, he would claim to be unaware of what his project managers were doing or not doing, until he then stepped in to manage the project himself. The trend continued for a very long time until we became extremely frustrated with Banks, which he claimed to be unaware of. Workers would randomly show up at our property without notice, do a small amount of work for an hour and then leave. Over the course of time we were handed off to various project managers and at times didn't even know who was managing our project.
Don’t EVER give a contractor 50% deposit up front!!!He promised a 3 month turn around on both of our projects that we contracted with him. We signed with Banks in April 2020 and gave him the requested 50% deposit (should have been a red flag right there!). Additionally, they have not completed the work on the garage that they built and are refusing to repair and reimburse us for damage that they caused to our brand new floors and appliances. They are now giving us the run around about removing the concrete/rebar foundation that they left behind and tried to cover up with dirt. His company then constructed a faulty extension on our beautiful 1901 home, and let it rot in the rain for 6 months before tearing it down. We were given false timelines repeatedly. Horrible experience! We are 2 years into our dealing with Banks Construction and it has been a living hell, and absolute nightmare.
